Coach of the reigning Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Kennedy Boboye, said he is optimistic of getting a decent result as the club confronts Etoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia in this evenings CAF champions league play off.
The match which is the first leg second round fixtures will take place in Sousse, one hour thirty minutes drive away from Tunis, the Tunisian capital.
In a telephone interview with DAILY POST, Boboye said his team was in high spirit after settling down well at El-mouradi in Sousse.
He maintained that, “Despite missing the services of Hamisu Sale and Emma James, I’m optimistic of our chances of securing a decent result in this encounter.
“Apart from the duo that didn’t travelled with the team, all the regulars such as Salomon Junior, Sunday Ngbede, Peter Eneji, Raphael Ayagwa and Jimmy Ambrose are fully fit and ready for action,” he assured.
However, the coach will have to make a bold decision on who among the two goalkeepers to pick between Dele Ajiboye and Okiemute Odah who are both in scintillating form.
A win or draw in this tie will give Plateau United a big advantage to qualify to the money-spinning group stage of the competition.
