EPL: Zola identifies world best player in Chelsea as Ramos, Drogba, Terry react to Hazard’s go

Chelsea legends, John Terry and Didier Drogba, have reacted to the goal scored by the club’s forward, Eden Hazard during the Blues’ 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Chelsea assistant manager, Gianfranco Zola, also described the player as one of the best in the world.

According to Terry, Hazard is the best player in the Premier League right now.

The Carabao Cup tie at Anfield last night was settled by Hazard’s sensational individual strike, ending Liverpool’s 100 per cent start to the new season.

Hazard has been in splendid form since the appointment of Maurizio Sarri, whose attack-minded philosophy is clearly benefiting the 27-year-old.

He has already scored six goals this season and Terry said that last night’s solo effort from the Belgian represented concrete evidence of his growing stature.

While Terry used words to hail Hazard’s mesmerising skill, Didier Drogba deployed emojis, while Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, also showed his appreciation with a like.

Chelsea’s assistant coach, Gianfranco Zola, told a post-match press conference, that, “He [Hazard] is not only one of the best in the Premier League, if not the best, but he’s one of the best in Europe and the world.

“Eden’s growing fast, he’s growing fast in maturity, in choices he’s making on the pitch and I think, in my opinion, we haven’t seen the best yet.

“I believe [there is more to come] because he has an unbelievable potential inside him and he’s getting to the point when he’s using it at the right moment and that’s something remarkable.

“I think it was a fantastic goal, especially not only for the beauty of it but for the moment he scored and he was all on his own, I guess – four defenders – and it was an unbelievable goal.”
