Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has decided not to sell defender, Raphael Varane to Premier League giant, Manchester United this summer.
Varane has been on Manchester United’s radar for the past two years and former Red Devils boss, Jose Mourinho, failed with his attempt to lure the France international to Old Trafford.
Speaking on Varane’s future at Real Madrid, Zidane was quoted by Mirror UK as telling reporters on Tuesday: “I do not want a Real Madrid without Varane.
“He is a young player who has been here for eight years.
“He has not told me anything, if he is annoyed then these are things that happen in a player’s life.
“I am speaking to the club, I have told the club what we want to do [with transfers].
“We are already doing that. At the end of the season things will be made public.
“There will be changes next season but now is not the time for that. Respect the players that are here right now.”
Zidane added: “I obviously want Varane to stay and more importantly, he hasn’t informed me that he wants to leave.
“Varane is at the best club in the world and he knows it.”
