Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka, has acknowledged the “mistake” he made that gifted Tottenham a two-goal lead, in their 2-2 draw on Sunday.
The Gunners went behind early after Christian Eriksen tapped in a rebound.
Xhaka then went to ground as Heung-min Son drove into the box and took out the South Korean, with Harry Kane stepping up to dispatch the resulting penalty.
However, goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw Arsenal equalize.
The Swiss midfielder has now taken to his Instagram page, to send a message to the club’s fans.
“Thanks for the amazing support inside the Emirates.
“We showed a lot of character and you helped us to come back into the game. For the penalty I made a mistake – I’m of course angry about it but I will never give up!” Xhaka wrote.
