Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil missed his side’s Premier League 3-0 defeat to Leicester City on Sunday afternoon due to a foot injury, according to Arsenal manager, Unai Emery.

A goal from Youri Tielemans and a brace from Jamie Vardy gave Leicester all three points against Arsenal at King Power Stadium.

“Mesut and Nacho cannot play today. Ozil has a foot injury,” Emery told Sky Sports.

“Laurent Koscielny is on the bench because he didn’t train on Friday. He’s not ready to play 90 minutes.”

Ozil has already missed 15 Premier League games for the Gunners this term having suffered from separate back and knee injuries.

The 30-year-old has also found himself out of favour under Emery.
