Chelsea ace, Eden Hazard has disclosed why he will not leave the Stamford Bridge club at the end of this season.
Chelsea are on the brink of losing out from next season’s Champions League competition.
With two games remaining in the Premier League to play, Antonio’s Conte’s men are in fifth position on the log, two points behind fourth place Tottenham and three points behind third place, Liverpool.
Conte’s side must overtake Spurs or the Reds to finish in the EPL top four this term, so that they will qualify for Champions League next season.
Hazard, however, has insisted that he is happy to stay at Chelsea even without Champions League football next season.
“I hope (the fans) don’t want to see me leave,” Hazard told reporters ahead of Chelsea clash with Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.
“I’m doing good things here. I’m happy here. Things can move, or they may not move. We’ll see.
“The public adore me, I love my teammates, my family are good here. Of course I want to play in the Champions League, but it isn’t a priority.”
Meanwhile, Hazard opted to stay with the West London club in 2016 when they finished 10th in the EPL table.
The forward’s loyalty was rewarded when Conte guided the Blues to the league title last campaign.
Real Madrid are believed to be interested in signing Hazard but the 27-year-old has appeared to commit his future to his current club.
The Sun UK reports that Chelsea are keeping tabs on Real Madrid midfielder, Marco Asensio, but any transfer would likely hinge on Eden Hazard moving in the opposite direction.
