Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has admitted that it is ‘very important’ that the Gunners were able to keep hold of midfielder, Aaron Ramsey.
Ramsey’s future at The Emirates has been a source of speculation this summer as the Wales international current contract with the North London club is due to expire at the end of next season.
The Gunners are believed to be in talks with Ramsey about extending his current deal but there is no official announcement about his future at the moment.
However, Chelsea were credited with an interest in signing Ramsey during the summer transfer window, but a move to Stamford Bridge did not materialize for the midfielder.
Speaking at a news conference ahead of Arsenal clash with Man City this Sunday, Emery was quoted by the Sportreview, saying of the Ramsey situation: “That’s not my work. For me it’s very important Ramsey stays with us.
“His experience here at Arsenal and the Premier League is very important and will give us all the information and performances in his quality.
“Then, the contract is for speaking with the club and the players.”
