Nigerian born England Under 21 star, Tammy Abraham, has thanked Brazilian icon, Ronaldo for passing on some “wise words” to him.
The 20-year-old Abraham, is hoping to stay at Chelsea this season and break into Maurizio Sarri’s first-team plans.
He spent last season on loan at Swansea where he scored five Premier League goals across the 2017/18 campaign.
Tottenham attempted to sign Abraham in the final hours of the summer transfer window, lodging a £25million bid for the striker on deadline day, but the Blues were reluctant to let the player go.
With Oliver Giroud and Alvaro Morata the only other recognised centre forwards at Stamford Bridge, there’s a feeling that Abraham could be handed regular playing time under Sarri this term.
His conversation with legendary Brazil striker, Ronaldo caught the attention of many fans.
“Thanks for your wise words I feel truly blessed,” Abraham posted on Instagram with a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation he had with Ronaldo.
Chelsea manager, Sarri had earlier said, “It’s up to him if he wants to remain here,” the Italian said when asked about Forest’s interest.
“We are very happy with him, so I think that, until January, he will stay with us. I think.”
