EPL: What Ozil said after Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Chelsea

Mesut Ozil has congratulated his Arsenal team-mates after their 2-0 win against Chelsea, despite being left out again by manager Unai Emery.

The German has not featured for the Gunners since a 1-1 draw with Brighton on Boxing Day and was an unused substitute as goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny gave the Gunners a vital win against their top four rivals.

“Congratulations to the whole team tonight.

“Well played, Gunners,” Ozil wrote on Instagram.

Arsenal’s win was somewhat dampened by the injury sustained by Hector Bellerin.

The Spaniard went over without contact and had to be stretchered off in the second half with a suspected knee ligament injury.

Ozil wished the right-back a “speedy recovery”.
