Barcelona new signing, Philippe Coutinho says Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah can help the club to challenge for silverware in the coming seasons.
Coutinho lauded Salah as a “wonderful footballer” after the Brazilian International completed a move to Barcelona.
The Egypt international’s impact at Anfield has managed to soften the blow of Coutinho’s move to Barca.
“Mo Salah is a wonderful footballer,” Coutinho is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
“I look forward to watching them [Liverpool FC] win trophies and to celebrating their success. I would not have left for any other club, but Barcelona is something different.
“It is a dream, a place of magic for me,” he said.
Coutinho was in excellent form in the current campaign following a return of 12 goals and and eight assists in 18 appearances in all competitions so far, this season.
The 25-year-old’s performances, however, have been overshadowed by summer signing Salah, who has netted 17 goals and has made five assists in 21 games in the Premier League.
Liverpool FC will take on Premier League leaders Manchester City in their next top-flight game at Anfield next weekend.
