EPL: Wes Brown exposes Ronaldo’s secrets Hazard is using in Chelsea amid Real Madrid link

Former Manchester United defender, Wes Brown has claimed that Chelsea star player, Eden Hazard was using Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo’s secrets in his bid to get a move to Real Madrid.

Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid over the past one year.

The Belgium international cast fresh doubt over his future at Stamford Bridge last week by admitting that he was torn between signing a new deal or making a “dream” move to the “best club in the world”, Real Madrid.

His current deal expires in 2020 and Chelsea are ready to break the bank and offer him up to £300,000-a-week to extend his stay at the club.

But, Brown believes that the 27-year-old is behaving same way Ronaldo did when the Portuguese captain wanted to leave Manchester United to Madrid in 2009.

“You know what, it’s the same situation as Cristiano Ronaldo when he was at United,” Brown told Express Sport.

“Between the lads in the dressing room, [we’d ask him]: ‘Who’s your favourite club?’ And he’d say: ‘I’ve always wanted to play for Real Madrid.’

“[Hazard has] not lied. It’s not like he’s playing rubbish for Chelsea.

“He’s doing the best that he can and it’s just a boyhood dream he’s always had – it was the same with Ronaldo.

“You ask any United player or fan if he disrespected the club, they’d say: ‘Completely not.’ It’s just one of his dreams.”

Brown added, “Chelsea have started brilliantly – Eden Hazard has come off the back of the World Cup and continued [his great form].

“It would be a shame for him if he did leave, whether it is January or the summer, because it’s a player who would be missed by the Premier League.

“But what an unbelievable player. He’s been the main focus of the team and his ability is fantastic to watch.”

Hazard has scored eight goals for Maurizio Sarri’s side this campaign.

He will hope to lead Chelsea to victory when they take on Manchester United in the Premier League this Saturday.
