Arsene Wenger has reminded his successor at Arsenal, Unai Emery, of his “huge responsibility” to play attractive football.
The Gunners are third in the Premier League and have a 100% record in the Europa League. But there are sections of supporters, who are unhappy with Emery’s management of the side.
Arsenal scraped past Bournemouth on Sunday thanks to David Luiz’s early goal and drew 1-1 with Manchester United before then.
Emery declared after his appointment, that he would “rather win 5-4 than 1-0”, but supporters have been critical of the lack of progress the side have made in the 15 months since he arrived.
Wenger told Omnisport: “I’m not here to judge coaches. I am a supporter of Arsenal Football Club so I just support [Emery] and hope that he can win games and plays a type of game that I like.
“I think a club like Arsenal is a huge responsibility and one of those responsibilities is to play attractive football.
“After that, I think the most important thing is to support the team, the club and win games.”
