Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said that there is ‘no need’ for him to buy more strikers this summer.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Welbeck both scored as the Gunners beat Southampton 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Wenger was still able to bring Alexandre Lacazette off the bench in the second half, to replace a tired-looking Aubameyang.
The Frenchman was quizzed about his attacking options after the game and he insisted he is happy with the forwards at his disposal.
“We have a good side,” Wenger said.
“Overall, in some aspects of the game there is no need to buy more players at that level, because we have young strikers as well, promising strikers.
“But we’ll see at the end of the season.”
