Anthony Martial continued a dream start to his Manchester United career, with a brace as they beat Southampton 3-2 at St Marys on Sunday.

The home team took the lead, after Graziano Pelle thumped in, after David De Gea saved Sadio Mane’s initial effort. Pelle hit the post, before Martial equalized for United.

Martial made it 2-1 in the second half with a cool finish, before Juan Mata reacted quickest to tap in. Although Pelle placed his header beyond De Gea, Louis van Gaal’s men held on for three points.

At Anfield, Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Norwich, while Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 1-0 earlier in the day.
