EPL Watch: United beat Arsenal, Chelsea stretch run against West Brom

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

Manchester United grabbed two goals on the break, to defeat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates this evening.

The Gunners were well on top in the first half and failed to score, after Jack Wilshere hit his effort straight against David De Gea, when he probably should have chipped it.

Antonio Valencia’s shot deflected off Kieran Gibbs to give United the lead, before Wayne Rooney finished off a counter-attack. Olivier Giroud’s late goal only served as consolation.

In other EPL matches, Chelsea beat West Brom 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, Manchester City came from a goal down to defeat Swansea 2-1, while Burnley grabbed a 2-1 away win at Stoke.

Newcastle continued their resurgence, with a 1-0 home win against Queens Park Rangers, Everton beat West Ham 2-1 and Sunderland drew goalless with Leicester City.
