Laurent Koscielny struck again on the last day of the season, as Arsenal grabbed the fourth Champions League spot in England, ahead of bitter rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs.

The North London rivals went into the last day of the season, with one point seperating both teams. However, the Gunners had their destiny in their hands as they travelled to face Newcastle and Spurs welcomed Sunderland. Both games ended goalless after half time, with Bale booked after tumbling in the penalty box.

Koscielny gave Arsenal the lead after a Walcott free-kick fell to him, but Arsene Wenger’s men failed to add to that goal. Gareth Bale scored another screamer against 10-men Sunderland, but it was not enough, as Andre Villas-Boas men will settle for the Europa League.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s last game in charge of Manchester United, ended in a frantic 5-5 draw against West Brom. The Red Devils were coasting 3-0 at half time, but Romelu Lukaku grabbed a hat-trick, as the Baggies fought back in the second half.

Fernando Torres well taken goal, sealed Chelsea’s automatic place in the Champions League, after Naismith cancelled out Juan Mata’s opener.

In the other games, Coutinho’s long-range effort proved to be the difference, between Liverpool and Queens Park Rangers at Anfield. Norwich City defeated Manchester City 3-2 at Carrow Road, Fulham thrashed Swansea 3-0, while it ended 1-1 between Southampton and Stoke City.

Wigan Athletic drew 2-2 with Aston Villa and West Ham beat Reading 4-2 at Upton Park.
