Arsenal legend, Patrick Vieira is unhappy with the Gunners after holding talks with the club’s chiefs about replacing Arsene Wenger as manager.
Sky Sports reports that Arsenal have contacted Vieira this week in a bid to gauge his interest.
According to the newspaper, the Frenchman, who played an integral role in the Invincible team of Arsenal, was ‘disappointed’ by the approach and views the talks as just a ‘token gesture’ from the North London club.
Meanwhile, Manchester City assistant manager, Mikel Arteta is the leading candidate to succeed Wenger.
The 36-year-old on Tuesday evening, completed his interview process with Arsenal’s board and has agreed verbally to become Wenger’s successor.
According to the UK Independent, the Spaniard and his representatives have held advanced negotiations with the Gunners and are at a stage where backroom staff and financial packages are being discussed.
