EPL: Unai Emery reveals how many players Arsenal will sign before January 31

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has the club is working on two deals ahead of transfer deadline day.

Emery is keen to strengthen his squad and has expressed interest in signing Barcelona’s Denis Suarez and Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.

Asked how many signings Arsenal could make before Thursday’s deadline, Emery said today: “Nil or the possibility of two. Between nil and two.

“Zero if they aren’t coming to help us like we want, I would prefer that they don’t come.

“And two because we are looking at two different players and the possiblity that they can come.

“This transfer window is not easy. The club is working with different players. If we can be, it will be good for us.

“Will I be disappointed if there are no signings? No, we know it is not easy. We were speaking two months ago about this possibility and we know it is not easy.”
