Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has blamed his forward, Dani Ceballos, after the Gunners were humiliated 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Emery noted the Ceballos, who joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid in the summer, struggled during the game.

The Spaniard, however, praised Lucas Torreira, Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Joe Willock for their performances in the loss.

Mohamed Salah was the Liverpool hero in the second half, scoring two goals after Joel Matip had scored the opener in the first half.

Addressing the press after the game, Emery said, “Ceballos struggled more than last week, it’s another experience for him.

“We needed to show something different, not frustration. We showed character with Torreira, Lacazette and Mkhitaryan. Willock made a step ahead, a good match for Pepe and Matteo.

“The first half we were very deep defensively because the wingers right and left can earn the metres.

“Our moment was the transition and they were strong in that. We had two or three chances to score also. There were moments when they were pushing in our box.

“It’s not all we wanted to do, we wanted to keep the ball more but their pressing was very strong. In the match we were with the possibility to show our moment.

“In the second half the key was the penalty, usually it’s not enough for holding. We opened more and they gave us more space. In the transition they are a very strong team.”
