Arsenal Legend, Thierry Henry has reacted to striker, Olivier Giroud’s goal after Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
Giroud headed-in the only goal of the game, as Antonio Conte’s men defeated the Reds 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The win takes the Blues to 69 points, two behind Tottenham Hotspur who lost 1-0 to West Brom on Saturday, with two fixtures left.
Henry, however, was quick to praise Giroud for the quality he showed to give his side the lead at home.
“He [Giroud]does that a lot,” Henry told Sky Sport.
“He did it at Arsenal before. He positions himself here well, he’s waiting for the ball.
“He knows exactly where he wants it to go and directs it onto the other side.
“What a finish. We’ve seen it so many times before and that’s why he’s on the top of the list for headed goals in the Premier League [since 2012].”
Meanwhile, Giroud will be hoping to help his side end the season on a high by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.
Chelsea won the Premier League title in style in Conte’s first campaign at the club last season.
The Blues have struggled to produce consistent form in the English top flight league this term.
