Former England and Chelsea striker, Chris Sutton has slammed Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho’s signings at the club ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
Mourinho has signed defenders, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof, striker, Alexis Sanchez since taking over from former Red Devils boss, Louis van Gaal back in May 2016.
The Portuguese gaffer is eager to make one or two signings to strengthen his defence next year during the January transfer window.
But Sutton has questioned why United board would even consider handing Mourinho a substantial transfer budget in January.
“He [Mourinho] signed Pogba, he signed Sanchez,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“His signings have been a disaster. He wants more money! How can they trust him?”
Mourinho’s men sit on sixth position on the Premier League table with 26 points from 16 games.
