EPL: Sterling makes major history in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth

Manchester City winger, Raheem Sterling on Saturday made history in his side’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League fixture.

Goals from Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and IIkay Gundogan ensured victory for Pep Guardiola’s men at the Etihad.

Callum Wilson’s lone strike was not enough to get a point for the visitors.

According to Metro UK, Sterling’s goal against Bournemouth means the England international is now the first player in the Premier League’s history to score in each of his first six appearances against a single opponent.

The former Liverpool star has eight goals and six assists for City so far this campaign.

Manchester City now top the Premier League table with 38 points from 14 games, 5 points ahead of second place, Liverpool.
