Tottenham Hotspur forward, Son Heung-Min has named Mauricio Pochettino’s side as the club that can stop Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City from winning the Premier League title this season.
Son stated this ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Saturday.
Tottenham currently sits in the third position on the Premier League table, with seven points behind league leaders Liverpool and two points behind second place, Man City on the Premier League table.
Asked about this season’s Premier League title, Son was quoted by Liverpool Echo as saying: “I don’t care that people are saying Liverpool or Man City.
“We [Tottenham] are still there, we’re going for the Premier League title, and we can stop them.
“We’ll see what is going to happen at the end of the season. They’re very good sides like us.
“We have to just focus on ourselves. Every single game, get three points, that’s most important. The season is still long.”
Son added: “We don’t want to think about it. So many things can happen, you can’t even imagine.
“We just believe in our own games, get as many points as possible, and see what happens at the end of the season.”
