Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken on the performance of midfielder, Paul Pogba, in the Red Devils’ Premier League 2-1 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday night.
Pogba produced a lacklustre performance against Wolves but Solskjaer defended the France international by saying that the midfielder is working hard to improve on his game.
Man United took the lead through Scott McTominay, but the hosts fought back and levelled through Diogo Jota before the break.
Chris Smalling then put the ball into his own goal.
Speaking on Pogba’s performance against Wolves, Solskjaer was quoted by Metro UK as saying: “Well today he could have easily had an assist when the great play with him and Rom [Lukaku] so that’s just figures and numbers.
“Paul’s working as hard as any of the players in the team. Some days it just doesn’t come off.”
Solskjaer added: “Many things we have to improve of course, because they are a top, top side, but we will use one or two days now to analyse and recover and then we prepare for Barcelona, which will be a fantastic challenge for the club and the team.”
