EPL: Solskjaer speaks on Lingard’s future at Man Utd after 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has insisted that Jesse Lingard is still in his plans, following their 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

Solskjaer took Lingard off in the 56th minute and replaced him with Mason Greenwood.

Lingard has started in all three of United’s Premier League games so far, but has struggled to make an impact.

But, Solskjaer insists the 26-year-old remains a vital part of his plans.

Asked if has an issue with Lingard after the loss to Palace, Solskjaer replied: “No, we stick together.

“Jesse has not scored any goals in our last three games, no.

“But he’s been a big part of our team and he’ll keep continuing to be an important part.

“The energy he gives us, he’s lively.

“But we felt Mason had to come on and create something and we’ll see Mason more often, definitely.”
