EPL: Solskjaer makes fresh demand from De Gea

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has ordered David De Gea to do extra training sessions, to improve his ability with the ball at his feet, as he looks to overhaul his team’s style of play.

Although the Spanish goalkeeper arrived in England with a reputation for being good with his feet, he had little opportunity to utilise those skills, particularly under former manager Jose Mourinho.

But with new rule changes allowing two defenders inside the box from kick-offs, The UK Sun reports that Solskjaer is eager to have his side play out from the back more effectively.

The Norwegian feels his side are lagging behind Manchester City and Liverpool in that facet of the game and has asked De Gea to do extra training sessions to improve.

De Gea has been doing half-an-hour sessions working exclusively with his feet, with coaches firing balls at him to deal with under pressure.
