Arsenal legend, Sol Campbell has backed Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah to break Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United goal’s record of 31 goals in 38 Premier League game.
With seven games remaining in the Premier League this season, Campbell believes the Egyptian international can break Ronaldo’s record and surpass it if he gets more penalties.
Asked if Liverpool’s Salah can break Ronaldo’s Manchester United gaols’ record of 31 in a season, Campbell told Sky Sport: “I think he can easily do it.
“And if he gets on penalties he can definitely surpass that!”
“I think last year he was kind of getting ready but this year he’s been extremely hot,” Campbell added.
“Everything’s falling his way, he’s working hard, he’s at a good team.
“Top, top player, scoring left and right, he’s a handful. He’s a top, top player.”
Meanwhile, Salah scored four in the 5-0 rout of Watford at Anfield in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The goals took his tally for the Reds to 36 in all competition and 28 in the Premier League, four clear of injured Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
