EPL: Sarri tells Chelsea to sell Nigerian forward

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has told the club to allow Nigerian born striker, Tammy Abraham leave the club.

Sarri already has a lot of options upfront and staying at the club this season means the former England Under-21 star will not find playing time.

Abraham spent the entire of last season on loan at Swansea.

He scored five times in his first 10 appearances for Swansea but his form fell away dramatically.

Express Sports reports that Italian Serie A side, Sampdoria are keen on signing the 20-year-old on loan and Robson says it would be a wise switch.

The newspaper said that Sarri had approved his transfer before the close of European window, saying that the services of the 21-year-old would not be needed at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking on the player, a former Arsenal midfielder, Stewart Robson, told Express Sports, “It would be a good move for him.

“I saw him at Swansea last year. Did okay at the start then, just went off the boil.

“He’s quick, he’s got lots of energy. I’m still not sure about his technical quality.”
