Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri has told the club’s board that Genoa striker, Krzysztof Piatek is his No.1 transfer target in January, according to Express Sports.
Piatek joined in the last summer and has scored nine goals already in seven appearances in Serie A, and 13 goals in all competitions.
The Poland international scored four goals against Lecce in the Coppa Italia, and has scored in every single league game this campaign.
Genoa are considering placing asking price of £60million on the player.
Express reports that Chelsea’s Italian boss is desperate to sign Piatek.
The 23-year-old is also being chased by Napoli with Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund sending scouts to watch the centre-forward in action this season.
The club fear that January will see a flood of bids submitted by European top clubs for the player.
“We should absolutely exclude the possibility of Piatek being sold in January,” Express quoted Genoa boss Giorgio Perinetti.
‘He can improve even more so it’s hard to imagine the parameters and set his valuation now.”
