Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has said that forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi will not be leaving Stamford Bridge this January transfer window.
Sarri stated this on Tuesday ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Wednesday at the Dean Court Stadium.
Hudson-Odoi, who has submitted his transfer request to Chelsea, is keen to join Bayern Munich this month.
The 18-year-old had refused to commit himself to Sarri’s side due to concerns over his lack of playing time in the first team.
The England youngster currently has less than 18 months left on his current deal with Chelsea but Sarri stressed that Chelsea’s board told him that Hudson-Odoi will stay at the club because the player is out from transfer market.
“On the pitch, [Hudson-Odoi] he’s doing very well,” Sarri was quoted by Telegraph as telling reporters.
“I’m really very happy with him. I’m not very happy with the situation, but I know very well that every big team here in England has the same problem.
“It’s not easy to keep these young players. He is, of course, one of the best 18-year-old players in Europe, so it’s very, very difficult.
“The club told me he’s out of the market for sure and probably he will be out of the market in July.”
