EPL: Sarri speaks on Higuain’s performance in Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Everton

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has said that striker, Gonzalo Higuain, must improve physical and mentally following the Blues’ 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson ensured Everton defeated Chelsea at Goodison Park.

Sarri believes Higuain, who joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus in January, is still struggling mentally and physically.

Speaking on Higuain’s performance against Everton, Sarri was quoted by Metro UK as saying: “In this moment, yes of course. Today he [Higuain] had an opportunity against Everton.

“Too few for him I think. He can do more. He had problems at the beginning of the week so today it was normal he could only play for 65 minutes.

“He has to improve physically and mentally.”

Higuain has scored just two goals in 10 matches for Chelsea so far this season.
