Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has finally identified 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani as Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.
According to France Football, Sarri is resolute to sign the Uruguay international as he looks to re-enforce his current attacking options at Chelsea.
The report claimed that Sarri is not happy with the resources available to him up front and has grown tired of persisting with Giroud and Morata.
The Italian gaffer wants Cavani to join the West London club to strengthen his attack line.
Cavani’s current deal at PSG will expire in 2020 and it will be difficult for the French Ligue 1 champions to extend his contract due to his age.
Chelsea will have to face competition from Napoli and Atletico Madrid, who are also interested in signing Cavani.
Sarri’s side will tackle Vidi on Thursday in the Europa League fixture.
