Chelsea defender, Andreas Christensen, angered Maurizio Sarri by leaving the bench, before the final whistle in their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.
Sarri slammed his players in the aftermath of their loss to Unai Emery’s side, by claiming that they are “difficult to motivate”.
Christensen, who is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge this season, was an unused substitute in the defeat at the Emirates Stadium.
And according to The Times, the Denmark international annoyed Sarri by leaving the bench and heading back to Chelsea’s dressing room with 15 minutes of the game remaining.
By that point, Sarri had made all three substitutions, which meant that Christensen would not play any part of the match.
The report claims that Christensen told Chelsea’s players on the bench that he was going to the toilet, but instead of returning he stayed in the dressing room and Sarri is “unimpressed by his lack of professionalism”.
