Real Madrid and Brazil legend, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, commonly known as Ronaldo has defended Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho
Mourinho had come under fire for his failure to lead the Red Devils to the lofty heights experienced during former United manager, Alex Ferguson’s reign.
The 55-year-old is under pressure to save his job at Old Trafford, despite the club’s executive-vice chairman, Ed Woodward giving the Portuguese gaffer a vote of confidence.
United have won just one of their last three Premier League games this season, losing to Brighton, Tottenham and beating Leicester City.
Ronaldo, however, has defended Mourinho, urging people to be more respectful.
“I don’t know what’s happening in Manchester, but wait before criticising Mourinho”.
“He’s special and he’s won a lot,” Ronaldo told Italian outlet, La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Mourinho’s side will play Burnley on Sunday in their next EPL fixture.
