EPL: Rio Ferdinand reveals who caused Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has blamed Arsenal manager, Unai Emery following Gunners’ 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.

A first half, goal from Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal the lead before Harry Kane equalized for the hosts from the spot in the second half of the game to hand Spurs a point against the visitors at Wembley.

Ferdinand blamed Emery for not starting the likes of Lucas Torreira and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Tottenham.

“Torreria being on the bench, the most influential, dynamic midfielder they have and a fans’ favourite,” Ferdinand was quoted by Metro UK as saying.

“Then the top scorer, that’s absolutely invigorated Spurs. “The players will be sitting there thinking there’s no better time to beat Arsenal. The better players are on the bench for me!

“Top players want to start – he [Aubameyang] didn’t sign here to be a sub! “I think Emery has risked it here. I think he’s played into Spurs’ hands.”

The result means Arsenal are now occupying the fourth position on the Premier League table with 57 points from 29 games.

Emery’s men are four points behind third-placed Tottenham on the English top-flight league table.
