Manchedter United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has reacted to the sack of the club’s manager, Jose manager.
Manchester United dismissed Mourinho yesterday, citing series of poor results and bad relationship with the club’s players.
Ferdinand acknowledged that Mourinho had done well in his carrier, but advised that the club needs fresh ideas.
In a tweet on Tuesday night, Ferdinand said, “I was one of his biggest advocates 2 and half years ago when he joined @ManUtd and felt he stabilised our club when we needed it.
“You can’t ignore what Jose has achieved as a manager previously but I feel the time has come for fresh ideas at #MUFC.”
