EPL: Rio Ferdinand makes major claim about Liverpool after 1-1 draw with Leicester City

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has disclosed that Liverpool were “nervous” during their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Wednesday night.

Ferdinand stated this after Liverpool played a 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Anfield.

Liverpool had a brilliant opportunity to extend their lead over Manchester City to seven points on the Premier League table but failed to do so.

A goal from forward, Sadio Mane got Jurgen Klopp’s side a point against the visitors.

However, a goal from defender, Harry Maguire was not enough to give Leicester City all three points against the hosts.

Ferdinand believes Klopp should have a chat with his players to settle their nerves.

Speaking on Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Leicester, Ferdinand told BT Sport: “The only slight worry I would have is I sense nervousness and a team sitting there passing the buck at times.

“That is something Jurgen Klopp will have to address. You don’t want to see nerves at this stage, this is early.”

“I think they looked nervous,” Ferdinand added. “The crowd were nervous and it fed into the players. I think Klopp will address that in the coming days.”
