Branislav Ivanovic, who should have been sent off earlier, stayed on and headed in the winning goal, as Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League game was moved forward, as the Blues have to play Bayern Munich in the UEFA Super Cup next Friday and Eden Hazard forced an own goal in the 6th minute.

However, Christian Benteke, who has begun the season in great form, equalised on the stroke of half-time, as the Midlands club made it clear that their win over Arsenal was not a fluke.

The game became more physical and frantic, as both sides went for the jugular, but it was the Serb who rose highest to head home a free-kick, as Mourinho recorded his second win in three days.
