Chelsea lost for the second time in a row this season, after Arsenal completely blew them away at the Emirates on Saturday evening.
Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil all scored, as Arsene Wenger’s men beat their London rivals 3-0, to move into third position.
Gary Cahill dithered on the ball, before Alexis pinched it off him and lifted it above Thibaut Courtois, to give the Gunners the lead. Two minutes later, Hector Bellerin found space to cross for Walcott, who made it 2-0.
Arsenal put the game to bed shortly before the break, when Ozil volleyed in a third.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are still unbeaten in the Premier League, after they defeated Swansea City 3-1 at the Libery Stadium. Sunderland sunk further into trouble, after throwing away a two-goal advantage to lose 3-2 to Crystal Palace.
Manchester United returned to winning ways, with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over champions, Leicester City. Bournemouth ended Everton’s winning streak with a 1-0 win. Stoke City drew 1-1 with West Brom and Liverpool thrashed 10-man Hull City 5-1.
