Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has revealed what manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the Red Devils players ahead of their 5-1 victory over Cardiff City in Saturday’s Premier League encounter.
Goals from Marcus Rashford (1), Ander Herrera (1), Anthony Martial (1) and Jesse Lingard (2) ensured victory for United.
However, Victor Camarasa did score for Cardiff.
Rashford said Solskjaer had told United players to be positive on the ball, always look for the gaps and play positive football.
“He [Solskjaer] wants us to be positive on the ball and always look for the gaps and play positive football and that was just the start today,” Rashford told BT Sport. “Today was a good start but we will improve and get better at it.”
Rashford added: “The Christmas period is very busy so it is about recovering and making sure we’re ready for the next games. We have to keep improving and go up another level.”
Rashford will hope to lead United to victory when they tackle Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford in their next Premier League fixture.
