Veteran English journalist, Piers Morgan has singled out one Arsenal player for praise after their narrow win against Newcastle on Sunday.
Morgan took to his Twitter page to react to the performance of Arsenal’s hero of the day, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, in the 1-0 victory.
The Gunners kicked off last season with a loss at home to Manchester City, as they went on to finish in fifth place.
Unai Emery’s side have, however, started this season with a win after managing to find their way past a very stubborn Newcastle side.
Aubameyang scored the winning goal after finishing last season as the top scorer of the team.
It was a brilliant contribution from the Gabon international on his 50th appearance in the Premier League.
Morgan wrote, “So @Aubameyang7 has scored 33 goals in his first 50 Premier League games – more than Thierry (30), Wrighty (24), RVP (10). He’s flipping brilliant.”
