EPL: PFA Best Player: Salah has an edge over De Bruyne – Neville

Former Manchester United player, Phil Neville has backed Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah to win this season’s Premier League best player award (Professional Footballers’ Association, PFA,) ahead of Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne.

Salah and De Bruyne are the two favourites to grab the award.

The other players on the shortlist are Harry Kane, David De Gea, Leroy Sane and David Silva.

Neville believes Salah’s regular goal scoring puts him ahead of De Bruyne in the battle for this season’s PFA award.

“It’s phenomenal,” Neville told Premier League official site.

“I couldn’t see 15 goals in Salah at the start of the season, never mind 40.

“We’re in a period of time where you’re talking about the best players in the Premier League: De Bruyne or Salah.

“Salah, every game he keeps scoring, he’s edging closer to that title,” he said.
