Former England player, Paul Merson, has identified Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard as the best player in the Premier League “by a long way.”
Hazard helped Belgium finish third at the 2018 World Cup and has made a superb start to the new season.
The 27-year-old scored in four consecutive matches including a hat-trick against Cardiff City.
Chelsea also defeated Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night and it was Hazard who scored the winning goal with a superb solo goal in the 85th minute.
Merson said the goal against Liverpool was further proof that Hazard is the best player in England.
“I think Hazard is the best player in the Premier League by a long way,” the former Arsenal and England player told Sky Sports.
“I don’t think anyone can do what he does and that’s what makes him better than everyone else in my opinion.
“On Wednesday, he beat three players, passed it, got it back and then beat two more players before smashing it in the corner.
“For me, no one else can do that in the Premier League. There are players who can go past people but they haven’t got that end product he’s got.”
