Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has explained why forward, Alexis Sanchez, is currently struggling at the club.
The Portuguese said the Chilean international is struggling because he is injured and had come to United’s game against Chelsea last week to help the team but his physical condition was not good.
He, however, confirmed that Sanchez will miss United’s clash against Everton this weekend.
Speaking ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday at Old Trafford, Mourinho told Sky Sports: “In this moment, he [Alexi Sanchez] is struggling because he is injured and because he came to the Chelsea match to try to help the team but his physical condition was not good.
“Then he had to stop and he was not available for Juventus. I believe he is not available tomorrow again.
“So now the point is to be physically in the best condition.
“He arrived in January last season – I don’t think that is ever an easy situation for a player.
“But this season he had a good start. He had a good preseason and he started well against Leicester. Then he was injured. Then he came back and then he was injured again.
“So he is struggling with his condition and I think he is the kind of player that needs to really sharp to play his best game,” he said.
