Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has revealed what he told defender, Luke Shaw after their 3-0 loss to TottenhamHotspur on Monday night in the Premier League.
Goals from Harry Kane and Lucas Moura ensured victory for Spurs at Old Trafford.
Speaking to MUTV, Mourinho said he told Shaw that he is ‘very, very happy with him’ on the pitch after United’s defeat by Tottenham.
“I was particularly pleased, I was telling him [Shaw], ‘You cannot play better than you did’. So, of course, the kid has to be upset with the result,” Mourinho said.
“But the kid has to know that he had three very good matches in the Premier League and today he was very, very good. I am very, very happy with him.”
Mourinho’s men will face Burnley in their next EPL game this weekend.
