Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matic has defended manager, Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho had come under fire for his failure to lead the Red Devils to the lofty heights experienced during former United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign.
The 55-year-old is under pressure to save his job at Old Trafford, despite the club’s executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward giving the Portuguese gaffer a vote of confidence.
United have won just two of their last four Premier League games this season, losing to Brighton, Tottenham and beating Leicester City and Burnley.
Matic, however, believes that Mourinho “knows what he is doing”.
“Mourinho knows what he is doing for sure.” Sportmole quoted Matci as saying.
“You probably know that also. It’s good for us also. He is one of the best managers in the world, you know what he won in his career so that shows you everything.
“I think he is dealing very well with the pressure. That is why he is here in Manchester United. I don’t see any difference.”
