EPL: Mourinho identifies another Premier League goalkeeper as De Gea’s replacement

Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has identified Everton goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, as David De Gea’s replacement.
The Portuguese will target Pickford if De Gea, who has refused to sign a new contract, leaves Old Trafford, according to The Sun.
De Gea is yet to sign a new contract, and his current deal will expire next summer.
United are reluctant to trigger the 12-month extension of De Gea contract as they view it as a signal to rival clubs that they have been unable to persuade the 28-year-old to stay.
Juventus are interested in signing De Gea and United may be faced with the possibility of selling the Spain international.
The Sun reports that Mourinho is a huge admirer of Pickford and will make the England international his first-choice .
The newspaper also claims that Mourinho has the backing of his staff at United with his assessment of Pickford’s ability.
Pickford has impressed at Everton after arriving in a £30 million deal from Sunderland in 2017.
