Jose Mourinho was full of praise for Arsenal forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after his goal ensured they won their Premier League opener at Newcastle.
Aubameyang latched onto a cross from Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the 58th minute and lifted the ball over Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka.
The goal gave Arsenal a win in their first game of the season, for just the second time in five years.
“I think he loves to be in front of the goalkeeper.
“He’s cool, he loves to be there and of course, what I love to say, simplicity sometimes is genius.
“That control looks simple but it’s not simple, it’s genius. Then the finishing is beautiful,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.
