Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said he did not know about agent Jorge Mendes’ vote of confidence before it was released.
Mendes made a rare public statement on Friday, when he insisted United were fully behind Mourinho, despite a disappointing start to the season.
“I have nothing to do with the statement, it is Jorge’s statement, not my statement.
“I didn’t know [it was coming] and I don’t care about it,” Mourinho told a news conference ahead of the Champions League clash with Valencia.
The Red Devils are away to Valencia in their last Champions League group fixture on Wednesday.
