EPL: Mourinho demands answers over Pogba’s future at Manchester United

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has admitted he is “in the dark” over whether Paul Pogba will stay at the club, the UK Mirror reports.

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, wants to secure a move abroad for United’s £89million record signing next summer, with Spanish champions Barcelona the preferred destination.

The player himself has refused to commit his long-term future to the Red Devils, who he has already left once when he joined Juventus in 2012, fuelling the belief he and Raiola will push for a big-money move next summer.

Mourinho claims the France midfielder had made no mention to him of wanting to leave United, but admitted he could not guarantee Raiola was not working behind the scenes to engineer a transfer next summer.

“I don’t know if that is true. I also need the agent to tell me — or tell you in a way that I can see.

“If I watch Mr. Raiola on the screen saying the players wants to leave, and that he is organising a way for him to try to leave or so on, then I will believe.

“At this moment, I am in the dark. The only thing that is clear for me is that the player never – never, in all these days we are together – told me that he wants to leave.

“Paul came back after the World Cup. He never told me he wants to leave. If he doesn’t tell me he wants to leave, it’s because he wants to stay. That’s my conclusion,” Mourinho said.
